Mostly I have the Alterna Caviar line, but I have used the Hemp line in the past.The Sheer Pomade was a big letdown. The consistency is a cross between vaseline and paste. It does not meld well in the fingers or hands, making application difficult. It made my hair look stringy, and I did not use a lot. I tried it in wet and dry hair. Wet was a better match for the product. This is going in my "offer to a friend" bin. Smells great and not greasy, but.. not much of a hold unless you have short short hair. Medium length hair (2-3' in length) with this product is not very suitable. It gives my hair a wonderfully soft texture while keeping it under control. My baby hair which tends to be frizzy most of the time can be slicked down with this pomade. It doesn't work as well when it is very hot outside (since you may sweat & reduce its effectiveness), but I use it all year round (one 2oz jar lasted me one year). |
